- A stalked, non-creeping perennial up to ~1 ft tall. Alsike clover is native to much of southern Europe and southwestern Asia, widely cultivated as a forage crop. Now introduced throughout temperate regions worldwide. Its naturalized habitat is fields, meadows, roadsides, banks and waste ground.
